What is the latest on Shane McMahon?

Shane McMahon is currently not working since leaving WWE at the beginning of this year. He has been seen in public supporting Linda McMahon for Senate and has reportedly been happy virtually doing nothing. From what I've been told, Shane wants to do something in Mixed Martial Arts and even met with UFC officials at one point. He is not doing anything in professional wrestling outside of WWE.
