WWE RAW Opener:
Justin Roberts introduces Batista to a huge chorus of boos, and he comes out to the ramp with the help of two referees. He has a wheelchair in the ring and sits down in it and screams for his spotlight. Batista says last night he said I Quit because his life was being threatened, and that he is considering filing suit against John Cena and the WWE. Batista says he could stoop to Cena's low level but he has dignity. He has injuries that will keep him out for a long time, but he will come back healthier than ever and wants a rematch. Justin Roberts cuts Batista off and introduces the new GM of RAW... Bret Hart! Bret says there's a new sherriff if town, and what he says, goes. Bret says if John Cena is still champion at Fatal 4 Way, he will face three other guys who will qualify tonight. Bret tells Batista he can get his shot at Cena by qualifying now. Batista says he can't do it because he is hurt, but Bret tells him his opponent Randy Orton is hurt too. Batista says he won't do it and he can't compete, and if Bret makes him forfeit he'll quit the company. Bret calls the forfeit and says Orton is in at Fatal 4 Way and leaves Batista in the ring.
Batista is screaming that the WWE is nothing without him and asking the fans if they think he won't do it. He screams I QUIT as he slams the microphone down on the mat and gets help out of the ring as the fans chant "na na na na hey hey hey goodbye". Justin Roberts says let's hear it for Batista to rub it in a bit more and the fans let him have it as he leaves the arena.
- Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match: Sheamus def. Mark Henry
Sheamus tries to overpower Henry but Henry meets him with a shoulderblock. Sheamus clubs away at Henry but it has no effect and Henry dumps Sheamus outside. Sheamus targets Henry's shoulder and uses it to get back in the ring and control the match. He keeps Henry on the ground in an armbar then headbutts Henry when he tries to get up. Henry hits a splash in the middle but Sheamus kicks out at two. Sheamus sidesteps Henry and tries to go up top but Henry grabs him and puts him in press slam position. Henry's shoulder gives out and Sheamus hits the bicycle kick to win the match and gain entry to the Fatal 4 Way match.
Jon Lovitz is on the phone with "Mr. McMahon" until Maryse comes in the room. She says she has hot photos that will win his Superstar Search later. He says he is not here to promote his new comedy club, then plugs it, and says he developed a new submission move. He says he taught Santino how to use it and you can win a match if used correctly. He then says something in French and finishes by saying, and I have millions of dollars. Maryse smiles and says she may be interested but Lovitz regects her and says no thanks Frenchie. Maryse gets pissed and snaps her hand in his face as he runs off.
We cut to Bret Hart who is talking to someone about deserving a spot in the Fatal 4 Way match. We cut away and see its Edge, who says he deserves a one-on-one title match instead. He is arguing with Bret saying he should fight a beat up John Cena for a shot since Orton didn't have to fight. Chris Jericho comes in and says he is tired of getting the short end of everything and demands to be in the match. Edge and Jericho argue a bit more and Bret tells them enough, and says it will be Edge vs Jericho vs Cena tonight. If either one of them win, they are qualified for the match, but if Cena wins, neither one will get in and Bret will find someone else for the match. Edge leaves the room and Jericho tells Bret he better not make him his enemy, because he will make Bret regret taking the GM job as long as he is there. Bret says he looks forward to it as we go to a commercial.
When we return, Maryse and Alicia Fox are waiting in the ring. Eve Torres and Gail Kim come out next as the opponents in this Divas tag team match.
- Maryse , Alicia Fox def. Eve Torres ,Gail Kim
Gail gets a quick roll up and Maryse blind tags in and kicks her to break up the pin. Eve tags in and kicks away at Maryse and hits a neckbreaker for two. Eve hits a standing moonsault but Alicia Fox breaks up the pin then Alicia kicks Eve in the head. Maryse takes this oppportunity to hit the French Kiss and pins the Divas champion.
The Miz comes out with a mic and says R-Truth always asks what's up and he has the answer. What's up is that The Miz is taking back what never should have been taken from him because he's The Miz and he's awesome!
- Vacant United States Championship : NEW United States Champion R-Truth def .The Miz
Truth hits a dropkick off the ropes then rolls up Miz for two. Miz bails to outside to recover as we go to a commercial. When we come back, Miz is in control and rams Truth into the apron. He rolls Truth back in and goes to work on Truth's arm. Miz kicks him in the back and stretches his arm across the middle rope. Truth tries to fight back but Miz whips him into the ropes and kicks him right in the shoulder. Miz puts Truth in the tree of woe in the corner and tries to stomp Truth in the groin but the ref stops him and Truth uses this opportunity to throw Miz off the turnbuckle. Truth punches away at Miz until the ref pulls him away then flapjacks Miz and hits a dropkick off the middle turnbuckle. Truth goes up top and hits a crossbody but Miz rolls through and somehow only gets a two as Truth kicks out. Miz is pissed and Truth keeps getting near falls with rollups, then misses the axe kick. Miz tries to run at him but Truth hits the Lie Detector and gets the cover, and R-Truth is the US Champ.
Backstage Josh Matthews welcomes John Cena and Cena says after his match he was exhausted. He says he never gave up and he felt good when he heard Batista say he quit. He was on Cloud 9 and then Sheamus attacked him, and it was because Sheamus wanted the belt. Cena says the toughest part of being champion is trying to keep the belt. Cena cuts his usual promo mocking someone, then puts the locker room on notice and says that he won't accept challenges anymore because he will be making them. He says he is playing around anymore, pops his collar and says the Cenation is here.
Justin Roberts announces Jon Lovitz and Lovitz comes out with the Bella Twins for the Superstar Search. It's basically like America's Got Talent, but with WWE Superstars. Lovitz introduces Khali Ranjin who are going to sing "Puttin' on the Ritz". They look funny and are giving it a good effort but Lovitz buzzes them to eliminate them. Next is Jillian Hall and as soon as she comes out Lovitz buzzes her and the crowd loves it. Lovitz says enough with this, he knows the Superstars are only good in the ring and polls the crowd for someone with talent. Some guy comes out of the audience and says he has a talent, and he can pull his eye out of his skull. The guy pulls his "eye" out, but it's glass and Ted DiBiase's music hits to interrupt the segment.
Ted comes out with Virgil and Ted says he wants the eyeball, and how much. The guy says he can't have it, and Ted says if he can't buy it he will beat the guy up and take it. Santino's music hits and he says hold up, and asks Ted what's wrong with him. He tells Ted if he doesn't leave the "cyclops boy" alone he will apply Lovitz's choke hold to Virgil. He does it and Virgil goes down on the mat. Ted hits Santino with Dream Street and Lovitz says he is the winner of the Superstar Contest. Ted adjusts his tie and leaves the rign with the Million Dollar Belt.
- The Hart Dynasty def. William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov
Regal clobbers Kidd and tags in Kozlov who overpowers Kidd until he reverses and tags in Smith. Smith picks Kozlov up for a powerslam but can't hit the move. Regal tags in a goes for the high knee but misses and the Dynasty hits the Hart Attack for the win.
After the match, two men (The Uso's from FCW) and a woman (FCW's Tamina) hit the ring and attack the Dynasty. The all go to the top rope and hit a splash on all three members of the Dynasty and taunt the crowd as Cole questions what just happened.
Josh Matthews is in the back and introduces the NXT Rookies. They all trade shots on each other and say who should be eliminated tomorrow. Heath Slater is picked by the other three guys and Slater picks Otunga. They get in each others faces and they say let's book the match and Matthews keeps them separated. They play a recap of what happened last week on NXT between Cole and Daniel Bryan. Cole says he is traumatized and says if Bryan doesn't apologize for what he did, Cole will sue him for everything he is worth.
Edge is in his locker room getting ready for his match and Jericho walks in. Jericho says Cena is the weak link and he will get Cena first. Edge says he better be quick, because he won't let Jericho do that. Edge says he might not even try to beat Cena, he says he might take Jericho out and leaves the locker room and heads to the ring. John Cena is seen walking backstage to the ring and the three-way match is up next.
- Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match : Edge def. Chris Jericho and John Cena
Edge and Jericho team up and work over Cena until Edge rolls up Jericho for two. Jericho tosses Edge over the top and then goes the work on Cena in the corner. Jericho hits a snap suplex on Cena but only gets a two count and puts Cena in a rear headlock. Cena picks him up into an Attitude Adjustment but Jericho reverses it into a DDT. Cena gets life and hits a shoulder block and then gets the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena goes for another Attitude Adjustment but Jericho flips out of it and looks like he hurt his knee. Edge tries spearing Cena but Cena moves and Edge connects with Jericho on the turnbuckle instead. Edge turns around and walks into the STF and Jericho locks in the Walls of Jericho on Cena while he still has the STF on Edge. Edge rolls out and Jericho puts the Walls on Edge until Cena knocks Edge out of the ring. Cena rolls through on Jericho and once again goes for the Attitude Adjustment but Edge spears him and all three participants are down in the ring.Edge goes for a pin on Cena but Jericho pulls him off to break up the pin attempt. Jericho tries for the Walls again but Edge rolls him up for two. Jericho hits the enziguiri on Edge and then gets knocked down by Cena with a clothesline. Cena tries an Attitude Adjustment on Edge but Edge fights out and Jericho hits a Codebreaker on Cena. Jericho turns around and walks right into a spear by Edge and Edge gets the pin and is the final participant in the Fatal 4 Way match.
After the match Sheamus comes out to the ramp to size up his competitors. He is interrupted by Randy Orton, who makes his first appearance of the night, and stands on the ramp as all three challengers and the champion stare each other down as RAW goes off the air
